The American Heart Association (AHA) trains healthcare providers, caregivers and general public, in responding to emergencies through their Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) training programs. These include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification programs. BLS, ACLS & PALS teach the correct techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Apollo Hyderabad began conducting the first AHA certified courses in 1998. In the year 2002, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad was registered as the first International Training Center (ITC) in India under the AHA.
